AI WEI WEI - ART IS DANGEROUS!

 AI WEI WEI - one of the reasons for his arrest was pornography.

His studio in Shanghai was demolished by the Chinese goverment.

Ai Weiwei was arrested on April 4th, and have pretty much disappeared. He is one of the most influential artists in the world - which means he has an international audience that watches and listens to what he has to say and until now was able to share his views. 

The chinese government was not too fond of his opinions and had arrested him on tax evasion, pornography and some other charges. Feel free to send your thoughts about this to the Chinese embassy/ambassador here in NYC. I'm sure he will be stoked to hear from you.

Ai Weiwei's sculptures will be on display in NYC on May 2 at Central Park. He use to live here in the NYC in the 90's.

THE FEARLESS VAMPIRE KILLERS

I forgot about this film by Roman Polanski, starring his late wife Sharon Tate. Its definitely in the must see classics category. I really like the opening sequence with the little droplets of blood as the credits role and the humor through out the film. I need to add this to my dvd library!!

CHRISTIAN HAAS

I saw these rope lights by Christian Haas at Moss. Its messy in a clean way and gives off a soft gentle light. The juvenile me would like to make a noose and rock it out that way or just leave it as a pile on the floor. Fancy x'mas light steez.
